Terms of Service

Qardella is a platform that lets renters build a single rental profile — identity details, income, employment, rental history, references, and supporting documents — and share it with landlords and property managers they choose. Landlords can receive and review shared profiles and confirm factual tenancy information about their own former tenants.

Qardella does not make, recommend, or influence leasing decisions. We do not approve or decline anyone, score renters, or rank applicants. All decisions about renting belong entirely to the people involved.

You need an account to use Qardella, created with your email address (Google sign-in is arriving shortly). Qardella is passwordless — access to your email is access to your account, so protect your inbox accordingly.

You must be at least 18 years old and must provide information about yourself that is true, accurate, and yours. Creating an account for someone else, impersonating another person, or entering false information is a violation of these terms and grounds for termination.

Everything you put into Qardella remains yours. By using the service you grant Qardella a limited license to store, process, and display your information — solely to operate the service and solely to the people you have chosen to share it with.

You control what each shared Qardella includes, you can pause or revoke sharing links at any time, and you can permanently delete your data from Settings. We never sell your information, and we never show it to anyone you haven’t shared it with.

Information in a Qardella carries one of three statuses: Self-reported (entered by the renter), Documented (supporting documents on file), and Verified (independently confirmed). These statuses describe provenance — they are not a guarantee by Qardella of the accuracy of any information. Recipients are responsible for their own judgment and any independent verification the law allows them to perform.

If you receive shared Qardellas, you agree to use the information only in connection with a genuine leasing relationship or inquiry, to keep it confidential, and not to copy, resell, or redistribute it. You are solely responsible for complying with all laws that apply to your leasing decisions, including federal, state, and local fair-housing and screening laws.

Verification on Qardella is factual — tenancy dates and address. References go one step further, in two renter-respecting forms: references a renter requests from their own landlords, which the renter reviews and chooses whether to display; and answers to a reference request you send about a landlord the renter has disclosed to you. Those answers come only to you, the request is logged for the renter, and you may use them only for your own leasing decision. Qardella never aggregates references into scores or ratings, never hosts unrequested reviews or commentary about renters, and you agree not to use verification or reference tools for any other purpose.

You agree not to:

• enter false information or documents that aren’t yours;
• access or attempt to access information that hasn’t been shared with you;
• use information from Qardella to harass, discriminate, or for any purpose outside a genuine rental relationship;
• scrape, probe, or disrupt the service; or
• use Qardella for anything unlawful.

Qardella is currently free to use. We may introduce paid features in the future; if we do, pricing will be clear before you pay for anything. Qardella does not charge renters application fees.

You can stop using Qardella and permanently delete your information at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, provide false information, or misuse other people’s information.

Qardella is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Qardella and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for decisions made by renters or landlords using the service. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you before the change takes effect.
